Administration

The Village of Hampshire is a non-home rule community that utilizes a modified Council-Manager form of government. The Village Manager is appointed as the chief administrative officer of the Village by the Village President and is confirmed by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees. All Village departments report to the Village Manager, who is also accountable to the President and Board of Trustees for the proper administration of all Village affairs. The Village Manager is responsible for monitoring all revenues and expenditures, preparing and presenting an annual budget and capital plan, and ensuring that all purchasing requirements, laws and ordinances of the Village are upheld.
