The Hampshire Police Department has determined that the best place to be this Friday is National Night Out at Ream Park.
Join HPD, Hampshire Township Park District, and the Ella Johnson Memorial Public Library District for a free evening of food, activities, and getting to know the people behind the badges.
From 5:30–8:30 PM: HPD will be on scene, but for once we're hoping for absolutely nothing to happen.
We'll have the K-9, patrol vehicles, Touch-a-Truck, emergency responders, music, food trucks, water slides, a dunk tank, and enough activities to keep the kids occupied for a few hours—which, if you're a parent, is probably the best news in this entire post.
Food lineup includes:
Double R BBQ
Mario's Cart
Snack Attack Gourmet Popcorn
Free Dilly Bars from the Hampshire Lions Club (while they last)
Free Kona Ice for Summer Reading finishers
We'll wrap things up with Zootopia 2 at dusk, so bring a chair, a blanket, and the neighbors you've been meaning to meet.
We'll see you Friday at Ream Park.
